SAKAK Signs MOU with Dongguk University Ilsan Hospital for AI Health Coordinator Development
Published: November 7, 2025, 16:50 KST

SAKAK (CEO Geongyu Bae), a hyper-personalized AI company, announced on November 5th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Dongguk University Ilsan Hospital to develop an “AI Health Coordinator” solution. This partnership is significant in that it brings together a company with advanced AI-based personalized health-management technology and a medical institution that provides services based on clinical and screening data — aiming to bridge the post-examination gap and establish a continuous, patient-centric care model.
The AI Health Coordinator solution aims to transform traditional one-time health checkups into a continuous care service that spans from AI-driven interpretation of results to lifestyle management and hospital-linked services. The solution includes:
Data-driven interpretation of checkup results
Personalized lifestyle-based health coaching
AI-generated recommendations for follow-up tests
Automated linkage to appointment scheduling and hospital systems
Until now, most health screenings have placed the burden of interpretation and follow-up entirely on the individual. Understanding the meaning of test numbers, making lifestyle changes, and determining when to revisit the hospital were all left to personal judgment. This solution specifically addresses that “post-checkup gap.” It explains examination results in simple, intuitive terms, offers practical lifestyle and nutritional recommendations, and — when necessary — seamlessly connects the user to hospital services and scheduling for ongoing care.
Through this collaboration, the two parties aim to deliver a health-management experience that extends beyond examination day for patients, while enabling the hospital to build a virtuous cycle from initial screening to follow-up tests and in-hospital medical care. With patient consent, the hospital will be able to monitor changes in personal health status and behavior patterns, improving the timing and accuracy of clinical follow-up and intervention.
This approach is expected to enhance the quality of post-screening patient management, improve operational efficiency of screening centers, increase appropriate follow-up test rates, and boost conversion to outpatient care—ultimately supporting a sustainable continuous-care model. In addition, the two parties plan to leverage multilingual health-screening services to attract medical tourism demand and further expand into international markets.
The President of Dongguk University Ilsan Hospital commented,
“Through this partnership, we expect to enhance operational efficiency within our health-screening center and ultimately deliver a differentiated and higher-quality screening service to our patients using the AI Health Coordinator.”
SAKAK CEO Geongyu Bae added,
“This collaboration marks an important milestone as the first real-world deployment of our hyper-personalized AI agent in a medical-service environment. SAKAK’s proprietary on-device federated learning technology enables AI performance at a high level without transmitting personal data externally—delivering truly personalized services while maintaining privacy. Through this partnership, we intend to establish a new standard in hyper-personalized AI.”
SAKAK has previously received investment from the Dare Strategic Commercialization Center, a leading startup accelerator supporting technology-driven startups. The center has stated that it will continue to support promising startups like SAKAK in expanding beyond Korea and gaining competitiveness in the global market.
